Today is World Aids Day and represents all the the lives lost to this horrible disease. This illness not only affects the victims that it kills every year, but families, lovers, children, friends, and the list can go on. Please today wear your red ribbons to show your support for AIDS and all the beings affected every day by this illness.

Is There something I missed?

Greetings!

   The time of the holidays is a time of reflection to look back on our lives and to catch up with family and friends. I cannot help but to point out the obvious of the families that will not be able to share this time with their families or even have shelter and food to enjoy these coming celebrations. It is amazing to me that with all the money and food in the World yet we still have people with no food or shelter. This makes me sick to my stomach to even imagine the life that some have to endure because greed has taken over the World. Please do your part this Holiday Season and VOLUNTEER for your local food pantry, soup kitchen, and The United Way. I'm not sure if most people realize this that the United Way has to pay people to work at the Santa Kettles during the Holidays, and this is money that they could be using to help other families, but due to the lack of volunteers they have had to pay people to work. There are are tons of ways to help! You can always visit your local Chamber of Commerce and typically around the holidays you can pick up children names to donate present too.

The Trevor Project

Do you feel like life is to hard and that your all alone with no one to help or listen to your problems? If you or someone you know of is feeling down and needs help Call 1-866-4-U-Trevor (1-866-488-7386). The Trevor Project is a recent organization that acts like a crisis center for young LGBTQ community. The founders of the Trevor Project are Randy Stone, Peggy Rajski, and James Lecesne. Please again we all need help in lighting our paths from time to time so if know of anyone that Needs Help contact the Trevor hot-line 1-866-4-U-Trevor.

It Gets Better Project

Hello Family!

     I just wanted to make a meaningful post that is not just random chatter. Recently there has been several occurrences where young GLBT have taken their own lives. This has been mainly due to bulling by other peers at school. In this time and age NO ONE should have to feel like they don't belong or are not worthy to experience life!  I mean seriously are we not all the same? It is funny how everyone goes through this world preaching that their path is the way, and yet we judge all who do not meet the accepted criteria of what the "World" deems is right or wrong. Well, Im here to say that I support ALL WAYS to the LIGHT! My heart reaches out to the friends and family of these lost lives and all others affected by these events.

On a more positive note a young man named Dan Savage started a Youtube Campaign called "It Gets Better". The "It Gets Better Campaign" is about people speaking out and letting the world know that No Matter what we come across down our path in life "IT GETS BETTER".
